May 8, 2020
We’re excited to announce we are reopening the church for regular Sunday morning services starting 10:30 AM, May 10, 2020. We will be asking folks to maintain social distancing for non-household members, as well as adhering to the state’s protocol for indoor gatherings. Please stay home if you are symptomatic or ill with COVID-19. You are welcome to wear a face mask if you desire and we will require hand washing or sanitizing upon arrival. We will not be offering food or drink as required under the state’s protocol.
Wednesday bible study and Tuesday prayer meetings will continue to be held online through Zoom.
Let us know if you have questions or if we can help you with anything.

April 10, 2020

Hello everyone:
We wanted to give you all information about our service on Resurrection Sunday (April 12, 2020). Though we would love be together in the church on Sunday, we just can’t yet do that. However, this Sunday we will be broadcasting on Facebook from the church. You obviously can continue to watch that from home, as in the past. Another option is for you to drive to the church and listen in your cars. It’s a way to get out of your house, support each other and be a light to the world!
Let us explain. With the COVID-19 virus still affecting communities in Alaska, there is still concern of stemming the spread of the virus. The Governor’s mandate on social distancing is still in effect which prohibits the gathering of groups of any size outside of family members. A further health alert was issued by the DHSS regarding religious gatherings. They do allow gathering of small groups of individuals necessary for live streaming services. We don’t believe the Alaskan government is shutting down churches to quash religious freedom, but is rather attempting to slow the spread of the virus among and between communities.
Out of an abundance of caution and to not flaunt the liberty we have in Christ, we will abide by these governmental mandates. However, this still allows gatherings for service as long as people stay in their cars and don’t get out and interact. You are welcome to come and attend the Sunday service at 11am from the parking lot of the church. If you have questions, let us know.
Happy Resurrection!

We trust you are well and staying in faith, in the midst of these challenges. Believers are pulling together with prayers, support and fellowship (online). Yesterday, the State of Alaska released two new health mandates concerning social distancing and intrastate travel.
These new steps in restricting statewide social distancing and limitations on travel are meant to slow and prevent the spread of COVID-19. We encourage you to read the orders here:
In light of these new restrictions we will continue the temporary closure of our church building and public services and events. However, we intend to meet online regularly through the following platforms:

Sunday Morning Service  – We will be posting video devotionals every Sunday morning by Pastors Marcie and Wyn to our YouTube Channel, Facebook page and emailing links for you!   (

Zoom Interactive Wednesday Night Bible Study and Encounter Prayer Meeting – Look for upcoming scheduled Zoom meetings on our home page. (
Call us if there’s something we can help you with! We will notify you on our web site if there are any changes to our schedules or public events.
Trusting God with You,

Dear friends and church members:

As a result of the COVID-19 issues ongoing in the state we are temporarily closing
CHRISMA Life Ministries to regular services. This includes all services – Sunday worship,
Wednesday Bible Study and all Encounter Prayer meetings.

Most churches in the Valley are already considering the same course of action due to
the federal and state guidelines recommending limiting social interaction to reduce the
spread of the virus. In addition, as most of you know, Pastor Marcie just recently
returned from travel to the lower 48. She and Wyn are self-quarantined at home for two
weeks, to limit any potential exposure to others. Consequently, we may restart services
after the two week period, but for now all we can tell you is that we will re-assess closer
to the first Sunday in April. It is possible that we will remain closed longer than this.

We encourage you to stay connected with us and each other both in prayer and vision.
We plan to livestream a message this coming Sunday morning through Facebook from
our home at 11 am. If you have any questions how to access this please let us know.
We’ll be giving you more information as soon as possible. We have an option for online
giving through our website if that’s something you desire to use; or you can mail a check
to the church as we will be operating our office there, as usual. Our intent is to serve
you as much as possible, while limiting the potential risk of exposure to anyone. Please
feel free to text, call or email us with any concerns you have or needs you’d like us to
agree with you in prayer.

This is an unprecedented time not only in our nation, but in the world. We are confident
in our God’s faithfulness toward you and us, our families and our livelihoods. We look
forward to the testimonies of God’s goodness toward you when we resume worship of
our Lord Jesus Christ together. Please don’t hesitate to contact us; for now you can call
us at home (746-2844) or cell (841-8765) or by other means.

Let’s support one another in prayer. Call, text or write! We will be posting updates on
Facebook and the church website as soon as possible.

We’re believing God with you! We have nothing to fear knowing He is on our side. We
encourage you to declare the promises of Psalm 91 daily!
