Being Thankful

There is an old Bing Crosby song called, “I’ve got plenty to be thankful for”. The song talks about the worldly things he doesn’t posses, and the physical and emotional things he does. The song is a good reminder to have a thankful heart. It’s not wrong to have nice stuff; in fact, God wants us to blessed in this life.
Many times, often, I will sit and look at the stars out my window and just thank God for Salvation, and saving me. For me, Salvation is what I am truly thankful for.
When you read the names of God and their meanings, think back to all the things he has done for you.
Jehovah Nissi: The Lord My Banner - Thankful to have a covering that won’t decay
Jehovah-Raah: The Lord My Shepherd - Thankful I have the Greater teacher on the inside
Jehovah Rapha: The Lord That Heals - Thankful God has healed my body many times
Jehovah Shammah: The Lord Is There - Thankful that God will never leave me nor forsake me
Jehovah Tsidkenu: The Lord Our Righteousness - Thankful that I am in right-standing with my Lord
Jehovah Mekoddishkem: The Lord Who Sanctifies You -Thankful that I am cleansed by the blood
Jehovah Jireh: The Lord Will Provide - Thankful God provides in every way, and pays the bills
Jehovah Shalom: The Lord Is Peace - Thankful that we have a sound mind through Jesus Christ
Jehovah Sabaoth: The Lord of Hosts - Thankful that the Lord is the Captain of everything
When life doesn’t seem like it’s going the way you think it should, give yourself a reminder check and be
Thankful for what He has done for you.
