Comfort in Chaos

Comfort in Chaos

When I find myself being overly concerned with the condition of the nation and all the end-time events that are happening throughout the world, I remind myself to move over into the slow lane.  Jesus told us that we should not let our hearts be troubled and He made sure we had a Comforter with us at all times.   We know that in this life we will have tribulation, but we also know that the One who loves and cares for us told us to be of good cheer,  because He had overcome the world.    And peace, talk about peace!  He left us supernatural peace, not the world's brand.

This comfort, and peace are available 24 hours every day, but they don't usually just fall on us.  We ask for help and receive it,  we call and He answers.   Its our responsibility to take the initiative to receive.  In all the uncertainty surrounding us, our future is secure.  There is no good thing that our Lord will with hold from us if we walk uprightly.  And He has given us all the tools to get through this life, and not just squeak by, but to pass through as over comers.  I'm going to take a cleansing breath right now and remind myself of the many great and precious promises that are mine.
