Put Your Faith in Christ's Faith

By Pastor Wyn Menefee |  February 5, 2015

Have you ever thought, “If I just had enough faith, I could ….”  Maybe you were hoping or wishing that you could build up enough faith to overcome that obstacle. Let us not get caught up on what we can do, but rather focus our attention on what Christ has done and can do for you.

We all need faith to operate in the promises of the kingdom of God. However Christ said that if we had faith of a mustard seed we would be able to move mountains. That is not a lot of faith. We see examples of Jesus calling out people’s strong faith; not because they said they built up their faith, but rather because they believed they could have what Jesus offered. All through his ministry he tried to focus his follower’s attention on who God is, what He has done for us, and the relationship He desires with you. He wanted us to believe.

When you find yourself focused on your faith, wondering if it is enough, whether you can hold fast to your faith, whether you are applying your faith correctly, I encourage you to take your eyes of yourself and your faith and look to the author and finisher of your faith. Jesus had sufficient faith to not sin, walk in authority and the fruits of the spirit, and let the mighty mercy and grace of God flow through him, even to the obedience of death to obtain forgiveness and redemption for us.

When we focus on Christ and see that he was the one with perfect faith, obtaining for us access to the Father and all the promises, faith will come. Faith is a product outcome of you gaining revelation of your relationship with God through Christ.
