Time to Reflect
By Karin Barker | November 17, 2016
With Thanksgiving, and Christmas just around the corner and it is a good time to reflect and remember those who are less fortunate. This is the time of year when we are needed more than ever, to go that extra mile.
Look around your home, do you have gifts from past years that are not being used? Perhaps a piece of jewelry, a best selling book, or a shirt or sweater that never fit? It would mean so much to someone who has a limited income.
Find a place, or local women's shelter to donate to, you will go away feeling glad that you cleaned out your closet and made someone happy.
Think of someone who would enjoy a nice meal, perhaps just a bowl of soup and a sandwich, a nice cup of coffee with you. Our community is full of people who would love an hour or so of your time.
Jesus said in Luke 3:11 ESV
And he answered them, whomever has 2 tunics (coats) is to share with him who has none, and whoever has food is to do otherwise.
Many blessings to all during this holiday season.
